Automatic loading of autoclaves

To extend the preservation of food products, they are often sterilized in an autoclave. The food, here filled in jars of 200 to 400ml, is placed in crates before it can be loaded into the autoclave.

The filled jars, which arrive in one row, are collected by the machine into square groups of 175 jars. This group forms one layer in each crate. The magnetic robot gripper places 12 layers each in one crate. By means of chain transports, the crates are buffered and placed in the autoclave with 6 crates simultaneously. Once the sterilization process is complete, the robot unloads the crates layer by layer. The layers of pots are then pulled apart again to be transported to the labelling machine one after the other.
